Furniture made from generations of expertise.
Motivated by our 75-year family history in furniture making for hotels and restaurants, we built Gillows & Co. with the desire to make contemporary and functional design attainable to everyone. We believe your home should make you proud whether enjoyed alone, or with company.
The Gillows & Co. Promise
Gillows operates on four tenants that we believe are critical to the success of our customers, our planet, and our business (in that order):
How something is made: Our focus: Responsible materials. In the future, we aim to make all our products from entirely natural, recycled, or recyclable materials (or—even better—all three!).
How long something lasts: Our focus: Product quality and durability — made in our Atlanta, GA workshop. We know one of the earth-friendliest things we can do is offer products that our customers will use for decades to come. That means building things right the first time for maximum durability, and offering care instructions that help extend their lifespan.
How something arrives at your door: Our focus: Responsible transport and logistics. We offset all CO2 emitted from our customer shipments.
And what happens after you’re done with it: Our focus: Responsible end-of-life. Our goal is to make products that are either biodegradable or fully recyclable, and before then, create a return takeback program to give gently-used Gillows & Co. products new life.

What Makes Us Different
Our Leather
We use full grain aniline tanned Italian leather from Moore & Giles, a Virginia based tannery in business since 1933. Leather tanning is one of the oldest and most sustainable practices in our world today. For our customers who opt-out of leather goods, we provide premium vinyl alternatives.
Our Craftspeople
We have incredible craftspeople at our workshop in Atlanta, GA who have mastered cutting, sewing, and upholstery through decades of experience. Every product is carefully crafted in Atlanta and inspected before it reaches your home.
Our Business Model
With no resellers, distributors, or retailers needing their cut, we can put more money into sourcing premium raw materials, working with the best craftspeople, and creating innovative products — and we pass the rest of the savings on to you.
